Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of georgianbayseo.ca (the "Site") and to the services of Georgian Bay SEO ("we", "us", "our"), an independent local SEO consultancy operated by Lasse Pettersen in Collingwood, Ontario. By using the Site you agree to these terms.

If you sign a service agreement with us, that agreement governs the work. Where it differs from this page, the signed agreement wins.

Using the Site

The articles, guides, tools and examples on the Site are general information about local search. They are not advice for your specific business, and search results change often. Check anything important before you act on it.

The free tools and the free Growth Roadmap use public data and data you give us. We prepare them with care, but we do not promise they are complete or free of errors.

You agree not to:

• copy or republish the Site's content as your own without permission;
• scrape the Site or its tools in bulk, or try to disrupt them;
• submit false details or someone else's business through our forms.

Our services, in plain terms

Term and cancelling

Retainers are month to month. There is no annual contract. Cancel with one email. The service runs to the end of the month you have already paid for, then stops. We send no further invoice.

Billing and payment

Retainers are billed monthly in advance, at the start of each retainer month. The month runs from your start date, not from the 1st of the calendar month. One-off work, such as a paid audit, is billed up front and starts when payment arrives. You can pay by Interac e-transfer or by card through Stripe. Prices on the Site are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes.

Reports, calls and replies

Every retainer gets a written report each month, sent with the next month's invoice, one day before the retainer month ends. Every number in it names its source, and you have your own access to check it. Every retainer includes one call a month (Trades Premium and chalet Property Manager Pro: one every two weeks). We reply to client email within two business days.

You own your accounts

You own your domain, website, Google Business Profile, analytics and ad accounts. We work inside them with manager access, and we remove our access when you leave. Work we produce for you (pages, written content, schema, reports) is yours once it is paid for. Our own tools, templates and methods stay ours.

No ranking guarantee

Google and other search engines decide rankings. Nobody can guarantee a map position, a ranking, a number of calls or leads, or a date for any of them, and we do not. Fees for a month that has begun are not refunded, except under the proof-of-work guarantee below.

Proof-of-work guarantee

Each month's plan is in writing. If an item in that plan is not done and shown to you by the end of the month, that month is free. This guarantee covers our work, not search engine results.

Limitation of liability

The Site and its free tools are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business, from your use of the Site or our services. For paid services, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Links to other sites

The Site links to other websites, including Google tools and client websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their practices.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site and how we use it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. If we have a disagreement, we will first try to settle it by talking it through, then by mediation in Ontario, before going to the courts of Ontario.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. A change does not alter a signed agreement unless both sides agree in writing.
